Movie Review: 2012
The problem with the movie 2012 is that it tries so hard to maintain the right balance with all the aspects, that it gets a little bit of this and a little bit of that, that you end up with a cake that has all the ingredients but just didn’t rise.

Hey, I’m not discounting the fact that the movie has pretty good effects. And the sound was just awesome (maybe because of the theater, I don’t know). Even so, the movie just seemed to drag on way too long. The acting was just blah but, Thandie Newton and Amanda Peet are just gorgeous, which is a welcome addition to the screen.
The script became too preachy, I felt like Rev Run Wisdom was there talking only, the scientist guy wasn’t even the slightest as likeable as Rev Run. See, he’s not likeable, I don’t even remember his name (or maybe I wasn’t paying that much attention).
The story just became all-too-fantastic that somehow you loose the ‘this-could-really-happen-to-me’ factor in the movie.
The movie wasn’t a total mess though. I guess its the kind of movie you could sit through, talk about for awhile, and then forget.
Oh, by the way, if there’s one thing that you should sit down for for this movie - its the closing credits, where you get to hear Adam Lambert’s Time For Miracles. Its no I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing by Aerosmith but its still beautiful.
